Congratulations to the Best LVM Timber Carriers in 2019

Analysing the achievements of the previous year, JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” (LVM) every year chooses the best timber transportation service providers. This year is no exception – a bit unusual and innovative, but the winners of the “Timber Carrier 2019” award are selected in three categories: “Stability”, “Opportunities” and “For Cooperation”.

 “We have selected the winners by assessing the results of the work according to a set of criteria. In this emergency situation, we cannot, as usual, bring our partners together in a festive event to discuss and share impressions of what has been done and what is to come, but we have found a new way to express gratitude and appreciation to our partners, congratulating the winners one by one, separately. We are an innovative company that works with knowledgeable and flexible partners. We understand that this is not an easy time, so the award is even more important this year,” says Jānis Vipulis, LVM Transport Planning Manager, wishing: “Good health and even greater success next year to all of our current and future partners.

This is not the first time that LLC “Marko K” has won the main prize for good work results within the framework of a long-term contract. In turn, Liepāja Special Economic Zone LLC “Laskana” and LLC “Latgales logs” received incentive or nominee awards in this category.

The main prize for good work results within the framework agreements was awarded to LLC “Latgales logs”, while the nominee prizes were granted to LLC “Vella kalpi” and LLC “Kurzemes investīciju fonds”.

For the second year in a row, LLC “Krauzers” won the main award for its contribution to the promotion of cooperation and improvement of timber transportation processes.

“We are honoured to have this recognition. Good cooperation is based on quality and trust. We had our eye on LVM as a cooperation partner already back in 2005. We have developed clear principles of cooperation for the provision of quality services, and we review these principles every period in order to improve and enhance the quality of cooperation and working conditions for employees. There are many things that LVM appreciates in good faith: it is both the attitude towards the work and the organization of the cooperation itself, because alongside the direct tasks of the work, there is also a number of the so-called unwritten things that both parties observe. We gained a partnership with LVM as a result of an open tender. This is a serious challenge: to offer a price of the service to win the tender and at the same time maintain your work quality principles and ability to fulfil the entrusted tasks,” says Andis Araks, Chairman of the Board of LLC “Krauzers”, about the current cooperation and key challenges.

In order to promote cooperation and support to service providers, evaluate and improve cooperation and work results, LVM has been organizing a competition for timber transportation service providers for the third year in a row, identifying the best cooperation partners in three categories: “Stability”, “Opportunities” and “For Cooperation”.
