A New Mining Site has been Opened in Aizpute Municipality

This year, a new mining site “Mucenieki-LVM” has been opened in Kazdanga Rural Territory, Aizpute Municipality, South Kurzeme Region.

The total area of the mining site is almost 12.8 ha; the estimated sand reserves reach 503.77 thsd m3, and sand-gravel stocks – 952.56 thsd m3.

Currently, an area of 1.1 hectares has been prepared for the extraction of minerals.

At the “Mucenieki LVM” site, the extraction of mineral materials complies with the “4” system of regulated products in accordance with the following standard: EN 13242:2002+A1:2007 “Aggregates for unbound and hydraulically bound materials for use in civil engineering work and road construction”.

This facility offers mineral materials and aggregates according to the customer's needs, taking into account the resources available at the mining site.
