The Big Latvian Mushroom Book is Now Available to Readers

Mushroom pickers and nature friends will definitely appreciate the Big Latvian Mushroom Book (Lielā Latvijas sēņu grāmata) created by mycologist of the Latvian Museum of Nature Inita Dāniele and Diāna Meiere, which has now been published and which contains descriptions and photos of more than 730 mushroom species. The pages of the bulky edition also feature a picture of the mushroom found by the planner of North Kurzeme region of JSC “Latvia's State Forests” (LVM), who was the first to find Pterula multifida in Latvia.

It is no secret that Latvians are the most active mushroomers in Europe; therefore, this voluminous book will be appreciated not only by mushroomers, but also by nature watchers and photographers. Moreover, the publication will be useful for those readers whose daily activities are related to the study of biodiversity, such as biologists and foresters.
