The Forest Development Fund Starts Accepting Applications for LVM Gift (Donation)

Until 28 May 2020, the Forest Development Fund accepts applications for a gift (donation) from JSC “Latvia's State Forests” (LVM) in order to promote sustainable development of the forest sector.

Project support in the field of education and science is implemented in the following target programmes:

  1. Development of vocational education and higher education in the forest sector;
  2. Scientific research necessary for the development of the forest sector;
  3. Informing the public and education and training programmes for forest owners, incl. informing and educating the public and forest owners in periodical media and electronic media;
  4. School youth and interest group education programmes.

The tender for project applications is announced at a time when an emergency situation has been declared in the entire territory of the country; therefore, project applicants are encouraged to observe the restrictions related to this situation in their project plans. Educational and information activities should preferably be planned using various electronic platforms, media and other information dissemination channels.

Gift (donation) project applications should be submitted to the Rural Support Service (RSS) in one of the following ways:

  1. In person on working days at any customer service centre of the Rural Support Service with an indication: “Target donation from JSC “Latvia's State Forests””. Information about customer service centres is available on the RSS website;
  2. By sending a letter by post to 2 Republikas laukums, Riga, Latvia, LV-1981, with an indication – “Target donation from JSC “Latvia's State Forests””;
  3. Signed electronically, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations regarding the execution of electronic documents;
  4. By submitting to the RSS electronic application system, by the end of the last working day for application.

Project implementation deadline – 30 December 2020.
