Deliveries of Mineral Materials should be Planned in Advance

JSC “Latvia's State Forests” (LVM) provides access to high quality mineral materials and their mixtures throughout the territory of Latvia. Due to the poor load-bearing capacity of certain sections of gravel road surfaces during this warm winter, the transportation of minerals from individual areas of the mineral resources is temporarily difficult.

However, some of the mineral deposits of LVM Zemes dzīles (LVM Subsurface Resources) are still unrestricted thanks to their location being on asphalt pavement surfaces.

When planning the purchase and transportation of mineral materials or mixtures thereof, please observe the above information and keep track of up-to-date information on the website of SJSC “Latvian State Roads” regarding the restrictions imposed on vehicles exceeding 10 tonnes total weight: https://lvceli.lv/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Masas-ierobeojumi_21.02.20-2.pdf. The movement of additional lorries is also restricted on municipal roads.

The currently available mixtures at LVM mining sites are crushed sand-gravel mixtures, such as 0/32s mixtures, prepared in accordance with SJSC “Latvian State Roads” Road Specifications 2019. Other types of sand-gravel mixtures and different fine fractions of mineral materials are also available.
