Tradition has power! Also this year, JSC “Latvia's State Forests” (LVM) kindly invites everyone interested in the things happening in the forest sector, as well as those who just wish to have a good time, to take part in the largest forestry event in the Baltics  - the Latvian Forest Days that is to take place on 22 and 23 May. For the third year already, the event will be hosted in Latvia's State Forests Nature Park in Tērvete - in the Land of Kurbads.

“More than 80 000 people are involved in the forest sector. That is why we call on companies and institutions working in the sector to participate in the event not only with their informative stands and activities, but also to attend the event together with colleagues and friends, meeting new partners and drawing inspiration and exciting ideas. It is a great opportunity for forest industry, woodworking, environmental and other companies to come together in a cosy atmosphere and tell visitors about their activities, products, services, professions, work and educational opportunities,” tells Normunds Namnieks, organizer of the Latvian Forest Days.

All forest and wood industry companies, educational establishments, institutions, NGOs and other enthusiasts are warmly invited to participate in this event with their own forest stands in a specially designed exhibition area or in the forest environment. Each participant will be provided with a free space for their activities including them in the joint infrastructure of the event and in the communication with mass media.

Almost 100 different forest, woodworking and environmental companies are expected to participate in the two days of the event; there will be a plenty of surprises and activities offered by new participants. 22 May will be dedicated to students of all ages, where more than 80 forest educational stops will give them a chance to get busy with some practical tasks, as well as watch a number of different demonstrations. 23 May, in turn, will be devoted to families, offering an extensive cultural and entertainment programme alongside the forest educational stops. More details will follow.

In 2019, the Latvian Forest Days in Tērvete gathered about 100 companies, state and municipal institutions, educational establishments, non-governmental organizations and other industry representatives. More than 13.5 thousand visitors attended the event; of them nine thousand were children and youth.
