Winter is a season of tranquillity and peace. Although this year's winter is not spoiling us with white snow, its blazing winds have not retreated, so we are offering a new magazine called “In the Winter Winds”.
Today, even children know what stress means. We come across it at work, at home, in the family, and of course during the holidays. To alleviate this, Laura Sarkanābola, a forest therapy companion, invites you to go into the woods and heal both physically and mentally through forest therapy - it trains patience, attention, collaboration and improves relationships.
A walk in a forest allows you to find and gather forest bounty for creative home décor, bringing home the freshness of forest and the atmosphere of nature. The time of Christmas wreaths is indeed over, but why not make ornaments in bas-reliefs technique? It is a great and exciting way to capture the beauty of nature in practical and tasteful interiors.
However, we should not forget about adventures! LVM Nature Park in Tērvete has become a place of warm childhood memories for many of us, but it can be visited at any age. A leisurely stroll through the Old Pine Park, an adventure in the Dwarf Forest and the emerging Dwarf Town “Cones”, or the environmental stories featured in the park - everyone can create and indulge in a miracle of winter.
The new Mother Nature winter magazine features a conversation with former President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis, who tells about his favourite outdoor activities, as well as reflects on what he thinks makes the nature and seasons around us so unique.
It is time to put on your boots, fill your thermos flask with herbal teas harvested in the summer and head for your adventure - Mother Nature is looking forward to see you!
