Autumn nature colours encourage you not only to make colourful bouquets of leaves near your home, but also to go explore and discover the forest. Nature enters the city: on 25 October, the Embassy of Latvia's State Forests held the Day of LVM Kalsnava Arboretum. Those interested had the opportunity to explore the arboretum's unusual collection of woody plants and the range of its tourism offer, while groups of pre-school and elementary school students could take part in specially prepared cognitive forest education classes in the urban environment.

At 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, Green Yard school classes (both indoor and outdoor) were held for groups of preschool and elementary school students. These are lessons about nature - the forest, where the subjects and the basic principles of the bioeconomy are introduced.

The little collectors go outside to find and collect treasures of nature, exploring the environment around them. Elementary school students appreciate the opportunity to gain new knowledge through practice. In the green yard, nature explorers will have the opportunity to discover the secrets of nature by playing the game “Each for Themselves”. The planned activities will give the understanding that any tree can grow as long as the necessary resources are available.
