The colourful and carefree summer is over, so it is especially important to think about day-to-day safety when children return to cities and schools. No less important is taking care of your surroundings and not litter in forest or in the school yard. Pigman (Cūkmens), the patron of clean forests and the discoverer of the dirty secrets of the forest, will remind it all to the participants of the “One Day for Safety” event, which is to take place in the film city Cinevilla in Tukums Municipality on 19 September.

“I once participated in the creation of Cinevilla, and I have a special return here. I am delighted to reach out to children right here, because it is home to beautiful memories and the opportunity to see with my own eyes what is shown in films. Together with children, we will discuss the precautions to be taken when going out in nature and, of course, remember that we live in an environment that we create ourselves. We will play a fun game called bottle-ball that teaches where empty bottles should be, that is, in a bag rather than on the roadside. If we leave that bottle in forest today, then in the future we will go to the forest not to pick up mushrooms, but to pick up bottles instead. What seems like nothing today is tomorrow's greatest forest pest! We will only see beautiful, well-preserved forests in films and not in real life,” Pigman tells about the upcoming activities.
