Already for the third year, students of the Art Academy of Latvia are invited to participate in the scholarship competition “Latvia's State Forests Scholarship in Art” arranged by JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” (LVM) in cooperation with the Art Academy of Latvia.
The aim of the scholarship is to promote students' understanding of the forest as Latvia's largest renewable resource that is constantly growing. Students have a task to associate the competition theme “Young Stand” (Jaunaudze) with the growing role of forest in the Latvian economy.
The winner of the competition will receive a one-off scholarship in the amount of EUR 1500 (the amount includes taxes).
The competition is open to students of the Art Academy of Latvia, who are asked to submit one to two creative compositions in painting, complying with the creative task of the contest. Works should be submitted in the Art Academy of Latvia 1st floor exhibition hall on 24 October 2019 from 11:00 to 15:00.
