LVM Announces a Tender for Works in Felling Areas on Low Load Bearing Soils

In order to ensure smooth development of thinning and renewal felling sites in forest stands growing on wetland and drained soils, LVM announces tender “Provision of Round Timber Production Services at Low Load Bearing Soils in 2019- 2023, Entering into a Framework Agreement”.

JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” (LVM) manages 1.6 million hectares of forestland. 24% of the forests owned by LVM grow on wetland, and 25% of forests grow on drained soils. In order to participate in the tender, applicants must have at least one technical unit for the preparation of timber or at least two chainsaws and at least one technical unit for the delivery of timber complying with the technical requirements specified in the terms of reference.

The total volume of the procurement subject concerning which procurement contracts may be concluded under the framework agreement is as follows:

-  In the thinning site: 1 000 000 m3;

-  In the final felling: 6 000 000 m3.

As a result of the tender, 100 applicants will be granted the right to conclude the framework agreement.

Tender proposals should be submitted in the EIS e-tenders subsystem by 17 June 2019, 14:00.
