At the end of March, JSC “Latvia's State Forests” (LVM) mining site “Lorupe LVM” was opened in Inčukalns Municipality, Inčukalns Rural Territory near the A2 motorway Riga-Sigulda-Estonian border (Veclaicene) or Vidzeme (Pskov) highway.
The area of the mineral extraction site takes 22 ha and the estimated available sand stock in it is 1 815 thsd m3, while sand-gravel stock accounts for 330 00 thsd m3.
Currently, a 6 ha area has been prepared to start mining works.
It is planned to start controlled production of mixtures of mineral substances at the mining site “Lorupe LVM” in line with the construction product regulated sphere system “4” according to the following standards:
At this facility, we offer mineral materials and their mixtures according to the customer needs, taking into consideration the resources available at the site of extraction of mineral resources.

LVM manages more than 100 quarries, which are located throughout the territory of Latvia. Quarry development sites are carefully selected in order not to endanger the environment, but at the same time meet the needs of the company and the national economy for sand, sand-gravel and other minerals.
