The number of nature friends who remember the Park since their childhood account for 51% of the total number of visitors. Parents, who have visited the fairy-tale world in Tērvete as children, are now taking their own children to the Park, and it is so wonderful to observe such a succession of generations,” says Lilita Kauste, Head of Tourism Information Centre at the Nature Park in Tērvete.
Nature friends and active holiday lovers from around the world who came to visit the writer Anna Brigadere's fairy-tale world last year accounted for 40% of the total number of guests. Guests from neighbouring Lithuania and Estonia are still leaders. It should be noted that a significant number of tourists from Israel, Germany, Canada, Russia, USA and Italy visited the Nature Park during the summer months.
“Since 27% of tourists visit the Park several times a year, it makes us constantly grow, develop and go along with time. Thanks to the park manager JSC “Latvia's State Forests”, the Nature Park in Tērvete is able to offer new activities and recreation opportunities for the Park guests every year. Also this year, we will invite you to participate in more than 30 events in one of the thematic parts of the Park - the Dwarfs' Forest - especially babies who will appreciate two new quarters in the upcoming town of Čiekure. We will also launch renovation works in the Dwarfs' Village,” Lilita Kauste tells about the upcoming activities this year.
Many surprises await visitors of the Park this year. From now on, one of the most visited facilities - the wooden observation tower - will be available to guests at no extra cost.
