To provide athletes with good quality training infrastructure and to create an environment suitable for high-level competitions, reconstruction of Jānis Daliņš Stadium in Valmiera has been started. Within two years, there will be a state-of-the-art stadium and a track and field arena that meets the international standards. The total cost of the project is more than 17 million euros, of which 5.3 million euros are the state budget financing. The stadium named after Jānis Daliņš was opened 80 years ago. Over the years, it has been rebuilt and expanded several times. Extensive underground exchange works are being carried out for the rebuilding. Sand mining and removal works are performed by SIA "V.J.M. Būve" in JSC "Latvia's State Forests" mining site “Seda II, 527 kvartāla iecirknis” located 27 km from Valmiera.

JSC "Latvia's State Forests" manages more than 100 quarries, which are located throughout the territory of the company, both deep in the forest and closer to populated areas.
