All spinning enthusiasts this summer have an opportunity to make their dream come true and and get their largest catch by taking part in the competition "Release the Mother!" (atlaid mammu!).
The competition will take place in four lakes managed by JSC "Latvia's State Forests": Lake Kaņieris, Lake Lielauce, Lake Gulbji and Tērvete Reservoir, as well as in three lakes managed by others: Lake Burtnieki, Lake Babīte, Lake Alūkse and Seda Ponds.
All anglers who have familiarised themselves with the "Honourary Anglers" recommendations can take part in the "Release the Mother!" competition. Before catching predatory fish, ask for the LVM fish measuring trough, which should be clean at all times.
Once you have a catch, measure it in the fish measuring trough, placing the fish with its head at the "0" mark, take a photograph and release the fish, if possible, filming the release process. The photos and videos then should be submitted by completing the competition application form.
Anglers will receive the "Release the Mother!" Honorary Angler's badge for a correctly drawn up and submitted application.
Every month, LVM and competition "Release the Mother!" supporters will award participants with the longest catches and the largest total length. At the end of the competition, the best anglers of the whole season will be awarded in these nominations.
The competition is supported by SIA Ieroči, FishBon, eholotes.lv and Golteenn.
The latest information about the competition is available on the www.atlaidmammu.lv and www.mammadaba.lv/atlaidmammu websites.
