Until 31 May, the Embassy of Latvia's State Forests hosts an exhibition called "Latvian Dream" (Latviešu sapnis) by artist Agnese Bule.
The beginnings of the artistic and social project reach back to 1999. It is a wandering of the artist's thoughts into the world of Latvian myths, history, poetry and identity. With a good sense of humour, the artist looks at the origins, development, existence and everyday life of Latvians. It is interesting that she creates a special myth or drawing for each city visited by the exhibition "Latvian Dream".
Agnese Bule was born in Riga in 1972. In 2010, Agnese Bule graduated from the Visual Communication Department of the Art Academy of Latvia presenting her master's thesis "Latvian Dream 1996–2010". A "Latvian Dream" fan club was created in Facebook community in 2010. Since spring 2012, Agnese has been working as the Manager of Jūrmala House of Artists; she organizes exhibitions and art events of artists from Jūrmala and other cities.
The Embassy of Latvia's State Forests is a place to have a dialogue with the forest, and take a small part of the forest home with you.
