On Monday, 5 March, Latvian company Cade will visit the Embassy of Latvia's State Forests to tell all interested about essential oils and hydrolats, their production process and use. Forest is just as fragrant as flowers!
From 9 to 16, everyone will have an opportunity to get to know, try and purchase the company's products. Among them there are hydrolats or plant distillates that are used for face care as well as for producing cosmetics to gently cleanse the skin, stimulate skin cell renewal and refresh the skin.
A variety of essential oils, including pine essential oils, will also be available. Properly used, they normalise skin metabolism, destroy fungi, reduce fatigue and lethargy, as well as refresh, reduce inflammation and accumulation of salts in the joints.
At 5.00 p.m. Solvita Kūna, the manager of the company, will tell about the healing powers of forest; at 6.00 p.m. a forest workshop will open its doors to anyone who wishes to make their own indiviual, special forest massage oil.
Cade is the largest company in Baltics to produce such a wide range of essential oils from Latvian plants. The collected herbs are carefully treated to preserve the valuable substances and properties, and are used to make fragrant plant mixtures for both beauty and health. Essential oils of Latvian conifer trees such as spruce, pine, juniper and white fir, have earned special popularity.
The Embassy of Latvia's State Forests is a place to have a dialogue with forest, and take a small part of forest home. The Embassy in Riga, at 1 Vaiņodes Street, is open on weekdays from 9:00 to 18:00, and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 15:00.
