Video tutorials of outdoor learning games prepared by 15 participants of the semifinals of the LVM Forest Olympics have been published on JSC "Latvia's State Forests" (LVM) school programme "Learning about Forests, Latvia" Facebook page, as well as on the company's Youtube channel. And now we have to find the best authors to take part in the finals. Vote for your favourite game by clicking Like under the video. The voting is open from 1-20 February.
Five teams that have won most Likes will be nominated for the finals; the remaining ten teams will receive Diplomas of Recognition. The contest finals will take place in LVM Nature Park in Tērvete on 26 April. Ten teams will participate in the finals - five of them have already been selected by the jury, while the remaining five will be chosen by the public vote. In the finals, school students will compete in an exciting orienteering competition, which will not only test their knowledge of the forest and the forest sector, but will also focus on co-operation and team work.

The LVM Forest Olympics is a creative and healthy competition of ideas for outdoor learning games intended for teams of school students of grades 7 to 9. The champions will receive the main prize - a natural expedition abroad offered by LVM.
LVM Forest Olympics aims at promoting creative and healthy learning outdoors, as well as at raising school students' awareness of the Latvian largest renewable resource - the forest. The Olympics is organised by LVM in cooperation with the National Centre for Education within the framework of the international environmental education programme "Learning about Forests".
