On Thursday, 23 November, the Embassy of Latvia's State Forests in Riga will host a Dwarf Day. On this day, visitors will have a wonderful opportunity to meet the dwarfs who usually live in LVM Nature Park in Tērvete.
All day long there will be activities for visitors of all ages. From 15.00 to 18.00 the Forest Witch will make a cosy bonfire and offer her delicious tea, and there will be a lot of things to do to keep everyone busy.
In the Embassy, guests will have an opportunity to purchase special LVM Nature Park in Tērvete souvenirs and gift cards. As the Christmas season is approaching, we have also prepared advent wreaths, Christmas trees grown in LVM nurseries and other beautiful ornaments to decorate home and light up the Christmas feeling.
LVM Nature Park in Tērvete is among the most popular tourist destinations and one of the friendliest places for a family in Latvia. With an area of 1200 hectares, it is the largest fairy-tale world in northern Europe, and its total trail length is 35 kilometres. The Park is home for both wooden and "live" fairytale characters crafted after fairytale plays by the famous Latvian writer Anna Brigadere. Here, throughout the year both children and grown-ups can have fun and gain new knowledge heading for exploratory tours led by environmental guides.
Latvia's State Forest Embassy is a place to have a dialogue with the forest, and take a small part of the forest home. The Embassy of Latvia's State Forests in Riga, at 1 Vaiņodes Street, is open on weekdays from 9:00 to 18:00, and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 15:00.
