Already this Saturday, 20 May, the International Museum Night events will take place all over Europe. This night, LVM Jaunmokas Palace will open its doors to anyone interested, offering a wide cultural programme, inviting its visitors to look into the nature time pages: through photo and video art, music and dance, stories and own participation, from history to the present day.
The Museum Night programme at LVM Jaunmokas Palace will start at 19:00 with the opening of the exhibition by Sigita Lapiņa "The Invisible in the Visible. 4 Natural Elements" (Neredzamais redzamajā. 4 stihijas). Gong masters Krista Džulija Kirkupa and Jānis Pūķis will take care of the musical accompaniment, and guests will have an opportunity to enjoy their performances more than once during the event.
At 20:00, the guests of the Palace will be invited to the Column Hall to watch a contemporary dance performance "Market" (Tirgus) by the Latvian Culture College; at 21:00 floor will be given to dancers of Tukums E.Birznieks-Upītis Elementary School.
Palace Museum guides will take the visitors for a tour around the Palace to have a look into the events that have taken place in Jaunmokas at different points in the history. Tours are scheduled at 20:30, 22:00 and 23:00.
The whole evening, both the Palace permanent interior exhibition and the renewed forest exposition will be open to the visitors. The visitors are also kindly invited to surrender to the spring evening magic in the Palace Park, watch the horizon from the Palace Tower and enjoy the Eaglewood Films video stories about the diversity of the Latvian nature.
Entrance is free.
