Walpurgis Night Celebration

in Tērvete invites all interested to celebrate the mystical Walpurgis Night, which is to take place on 30 April.

The always-busy Dwarfs’ family will welcome visitors in Dwarfs’ Cottage and Dwarfs’ Village from 19:00 to 21:00 to tell about the mysteries of the spring. In turn, in the Dwarfs’ City called Cones or Čiekure from 20:00 to 21:00 everyone will have an opportunity to join in singing and dancing with the kind-hearted dwarfs of Čučumuiža.

From 21.00 to 23.00, the Walpurgis Night celebration will continue in the Fairytale Forest, where residents of the magical forest will encourage the guests to take part in "masking" and other fun games.

In the Playground, from 21.00 to 23.00 the Radio Orchestra, dance group "Chill out" and fire-jugglers’ union "Soul of Flames" will take care of the musical accompaniment. The celebration will end with a colourful rain of stars.

Nightly adventures in the Skyways

As a part of the Walpurgis Night celebration, from 19.00 to 24.00 instructors of the Skyways will invite the visitors to head for an adventure along the rope and wood construction way of the Lucky Land in the height of four to ten meters above the ground.

Skyways of the Lucky Land allow visitors of all ages to feel like the little Tom Thumb (Sprīdītis), who is leaving his home to discover and explore the wide world. You will meet the Mother Forest, the Giant Loapear, you will fight the Devil and enjoy other exciting adventures.

Light games of butterflies of Tērvete

Butterflies of Tērvete have prepared a special surprise for the occasion of Walpurgis Night. The Butterfly House from 19:00 to 02:00 will host a parade of dusk butterflies and a magnificent play of lights. You will have an opportunity to see butterflies from a variety of tropical forests around the world: Asian exotic colour butterflies, Papilionidae of South America and the unique African butterflies.

Visitors are invited to attend the event in masks and participate in the Walpurgis Night mask parade. To move around the nightly forest more comfortably, it is advisable to bring along a flashlight.

Entrance to the event "Mysteries of Walpurgis Night" with Nature Park tickets; separate tickets should be purchased for the Skyways of the Lucky Land and Tērvete Butterfly House.
