Nature Brings the Holiday Mood
To bring the holiday mood and the scent of Christmas, an eco shop organized by “LVM Seeds and Plants” is open in JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” (LVM) Client Center at 1 Vaiņodes Street. There you will find a Christmas miracle made of seeds and cones, braided of needles and grown in decorative containers in nurseries in Smiltene, Strenči, Valmiera, Jelgava, Kalsnava. The little helpers of Kalsnava Arboretum have filled the gift bags to bring the festive mood and fresh scent of forest to each home.
“We want to be closer to nature by spending more time outdoors, also choosing environment-friendly building materials. And such pieces of work – straight from nature, nurtured and created with caring hands – are available in our shop. Personal and from the heart!”, says Irēna Aleksejuka, “LVM Seeds and Plants” Deputy Director responsible for sales, commenting this year’s assortment.
Artists from Smiltene, Valmiera, and LVM Kalsnava Arboretum have created a wide variety and unique decorations, for example, decorative pots made of cones – to store some valuable things or even sweets, or a coniferous Advent wreath made in Kalsnava nursery. Each piece of work is unique, they have no copies.
There are also traditional and practical holiday decorations available in the store; however, they are also quite untraditional, for example, an Advent wreath made of needle-like leaves or of cones, dwarf cones to decorate the Christmas tree, as well as bent-grass bundles from Strenči.
Each day the assortment is getting wider offering a number of unique and exciting things. Just like last year – highly demanded Christmas trees in containers are also available. The shop is open on working days from 9:00 to 18:00.
As of November 28, holiday decorations for nature friends will also be available in Jelgava nursery. Here visitors will find Christmas trees in containers of different sizes and types.
