A Tender for Forestry Works is Open for Applications

To ensure good quality and well-timed forest management, JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” (LVM) announces an open tender to provide forest planting, agrotechnical treatment in restored forest areas, young forest stand tending and protection services from 2017 till 2021 (id. № AS LVM MS MK_2016_480_Ak). Service providers will receive additional payment if the above mentioned works are performed in better quality.

“LVM changes the payment procedure of forestry services, and from now on will offer an additional payment for works performed in better quality. The quality of forest management is essential for increasing the value of future forests; for that reason the service provider will have a chance to receive an additional payment to the set agreement price of up to 15 euros per 1 hectare for good and timely performed works involving qualified workers”, explains Mārtiņš Gūtmanis, the Director of LVM Forestry.

Information sessions in LVM regional client centres

In order to provide more information on how to receive the additional payment and on the tender regulations, as well as to clarify any questions, from October 19, 2016 till November 2, LVM organizes informative sessions in regional client centres.

• On October 19, at 10:00 LVM client centre in South Kurzeme (“Boja Manor”, Kazdanga Parish, Aizpute Municipality)
• On October 20, at 10:00, LVM client centre in East Vidzeme (“Forestry”, Silva 18, Launkalne Parish, Smiltene Municipality)
• On October 21, at 10:00, LVM client centre in Middle Daugava (3 Blaumaņa Street, Koknese Parish, Koknese Municipality)
• On October 25, at 10:00, LVM client centre in South Latgale (2 Fabrikas Street, Līvāni, Līvāni Municipality)
• On October 27, at 10:00 LVM client centre in Zemgale (8 Liepu Street, Mežciems, Jaunsvirlaukas Parish, Jelgava Municipality)
• On October 28, at 10:00 LVM client centre in North Latgale (“Mežrozes”, Lejas Ančupāni, Rēzekne Municipality)
• On November, at 10:00 LVM client centre in West Vidzeme (103 Rīga Street, Valmiera)
• On November 2, at 10:00 LVM client centre in North Kurzeme (4 Upes Street, Dundaga Parish, Dundaga Municipality)

The tender is open for applications until:

• November 17, 2016 (11:00), LVM office in Rīga (1 Vaiņodes Street, Rīga, LV-1004)
• November 16, 2016 (11:00), LVM regional client centres.

The opening of tender proposals will take place in LVM office in Rīga, on November 17, 2016 (11:00).
