Support to social projects

Public benefit associations and foundations are invited to register social projects for the receipt of donations granted by JSC "Latvia's State Forests" (LVM). This is the last day to apply for the informative seminar on the project tender to be held in Riga, on 12 January. The deadline for submission of the proposals is 31 January 2016.

Every year JSC "Latvia's State Forests" allocates a certain share of its profit to support charity, cultural, sports and educational projects of national significance in line with the donation principles formulated by the company's shareholders. When planning our activities, we are aware of our responsibility towards the company's employees, customers, owners, local governments, business partners and the society as a whole - our strategy is focused on balanced economic, social and environmental development. Over the past ten years the company has donated 33.5 million euros to social responsibility projects," says Roberts Strīpnieks, President of JSC" Latvia's State Forests".

Priority areas of the project tender:

• Help for children and adults with special needs
• Help for socially vulnerable groups
• Support to retirement age people to help them lead dignified and active life
• Support for the integration of specific groups of the society

Informative seminar

The informative seminar on the preparation of project proposals will be held in Riga, on 12 January 2016. (by 8 January 2016), specifying in the subject line "Application for the Seminar on the Donations Granted by LVM"; in the body of the letter please indicate the name of the organisation, the number of participants, as well as contact details. The venue and time of the seminar will be announced after the closing of the application.

Filing of a project application

Please send the completed application form for the receipt of the LVM donation together with the project estimate to the e-mail address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 31 January 2016 (inclusive). In the subject line, please, specify "Application Form for the Receipt of Donations Granted by LVM", and in the body of the letter indicate the name of the organisation and contact details of the person responsible for the project.

Evaluation criteria and other additional information are available on the website of foundation "Ziedot.lv" www.ziedot.lv.

The results of the project proposals will be announced by 1 March 2016.

Donations of JSC "Latvia's State Forests" to the social sector

Since 2012 JSC "Latvia's State Forests" has entrusted management of the company's donations to the social sector to three charity organisations: "Ziedot.lv", "Latvia Children's Fund" and "The Samaritan Association of Latvia". These organisations administer the donations and by means of a tender allocate the funding to social organisations.

The procedure, how JSC "Latvia's State Forests" grants donations to the social sector, is laid down in the letter of intent signed on 12 December 2011 and the annual donation agreements entered into between the company and the Partners (the foundation "Ziedot", foundation "Latvian Children's Fund" and the association "Samaritan Association of Latvia").
