Take snapshots outdoors

Photography enthusiasts and professionals are invited to participate in the competition: “Gada balva fotogrāfijā 2015” (“Photo of the Year 2015”), whose participants shared photos taken this year in three categories: “Man”, “Events”, and “Natural Beauty”.

Photos can be submitted on portal Delfi.lv, section "Gada balva fotogrāfijā" up until January 7, 2016. Submissions will be published on gadafoto.delfi.lv, where anyone will be able to see and vote for their favorites.

Meanwhile, to determine the winners in three categories, the submitted entries will be assessed by an international board of judges. The winners will be awarded with valuable Nikon D7200 KIT 18-140mm photo cameras.

The competition's winners will be announced during an opening of a gallery of “100 Best” in the square at “Origo” Mall in downtown Riga. “Participation in the competition and exhibition is part of developing one's personality of any skill type. I am sure that light and creative fortune guided each of us,” says Ilmārs Znotiņš, curator of “Photo of the Year”.

The competition is being organized since 2010.
