LVM’s key role on Olympic Day

"Nebrinies. Piedalies!" (Don't Wait. Join Now!) – with this slogan, Olympic Day was observed in all of Latvia  Friday. JSC "Latvian State Forests" (LVM) is not only the major sponsor of the Latvian Olympic Committee, but also the event's supporter, as every LVM employee in Riga and Latvia's regional offices, as well as from tree nurseries and Mammadaba tourist attractions, took part in morning calisthenics.

All of the Latvian Olympic Days 2015 venues began the event with calisthenics  as a wake-up call, to prepare them for the coming day's activities, as well as to remind them that proper exercise is an important part of any day. 35,000 students from 90 schools and 60 pre-school education institutions had applied for the event in Riga alone.

Olympic Day is the only global event organized by the Olympic Movement. The majority of national Olympic committees in five continents take this opportunity to discuss the Olympic ideals – distinction, friendship, and dignity. The Latvian Olympic Committee uses this day to popularize the Olympic Movement, showing its support for a healthy lifestyle, fair play in sports, and Olympic ideals.
