Teachers, who participated in the conference "Dabaszinātnes un matemātika skolā – efektīvi un radoši" (Natural Sciences and Mathematics in School – Efficient and Creative) on August 21, made sure again that natural sciences and mathematics can be taught to schoolchildren not only inside the school, but also out in natural surroundings.

A display stand by JSC "Latvian State Forests" offered the latest Mammadaba magazines and textbooks, and also presented a story about how to bring learning closer to nature. Enthusiasts had the opportunity to try their luck at the game "Bezgalīgais mežs" (Never-ending Forest), as well as learn about the mobile application "Sēnes Latvijā" (Mushrooms in Latvia).

Reminding once again that the best method how to conduct classes is to hold lectures outdoors, LVM communications project managers informed the teachers about the international environmental education program "Learning about the Forest", seen already in more than 20 countries all over the world, celebrating its tenth anniversary in Latvia this year. LVM and National Center for Education collaborates with schools, and the program is both for students and teachers to take part in various environmental activities.

In order to not only inform visitors, but also to entertain them, LVM's display stand offered an a contest: successfully solve a crossword puzzle about Mammadaba tourist sights and forest management. Five lucky winners, who received Green prizes from Mammadaba, were revealed already in the afternoon – shortly before the plenary session, which discussed reforms in education.
