Let's support the School Youth Song and Dance Festival!
From July 6 to 12, JSC "Latvian State Forests" will share its good vibes, joy and excitement together with 37,890 young people, who will be part of the XI Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Festival.
This is the most participants in the festival's history: 10,400 from Vidzeme province, 9,423 – from the city of Riga, 5,195 – from Zemgale province, 4,945 – from Kurzeme province, and 4,531 – from Latgale province, as well as 3,107 – from Pieriga Region /Riga metropolitan area/, and 287 – from Latvian communities abroad.
The festival will fill the capital with smiles, songs, dance and joy of children and youth.
The National School Youth Song and Dance Festival is the largest cultural event for youngsters in Latvia, taking place once every five years. Meanwhile, JSC "Latvian State Forests" is inviting students, families, and nature lovers to visit state forests, where the activities and songs of smaller and bigger forest dwellers are apparent each and every day. The company has restored more than 350 recreation areas all over Latvia; however, due to the warm and dry weather, the visitors are urged to be cautious when handling fire, as well as to take good care of themselves and others while in forests and marshes.
