Study with a forest scholarship

To promote greater knowledge and majoring in forestry, JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” announces a scholarship competition this year as well. New scholarships will be awarded in forest ecology, environmental communication and education. The brightest students at Ogre State Technical College will receive special scholarships. Students in the fields of forestry science, forest ecology, environmental communication, tree breeding, tissue culture, forest management planning, logging management, forest infrastructure, geology,  chemical timber processing, geographic information systems and logistics management are eligible to apply for LVM scholarships. It is an opportunity to improve student motivation in developing personal skills. The competition is also open to the brightest second-year students at Ogre State Technical College, who are studying to become forestry technicians, forestry machine operators and forestry machine mechanics. First-year students are granted promotional scholarships that are paid out during the second term. After the review of applications, the applicants will be invited to a brief interview, during which they will be requested to present their vision of future studies and plans.
