Lake Kaņieris spin fishing competition winners – team “Haļava”

The results of the second stage of JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” spin fishing competition on Lake Kaņieris have been released. Once again, the team “Haļava”, represented by Jānis Andreika and Vladimirs Antonovs, took first place with a total catch of 4.110 kilograms. The largest fish was pulled out by the team “Vanagi” – 3.055 kilograms.

“Haļava” tops the overall standings after the first two stages, followed by “Vanagi”, represented by Mārtiņš Vanags and Ģirts Vanags. “Asie āķi” with Normunds Nordens and Juris Sivgals are currently third.

For the second consecutive year, JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” organizes an open spin fishing competition on its lakes. Even though the 2012 Spin Fishing Championship is already halfway through, it is still possible to take part in it.
