THE FIRST SEEDLINGS OF”OXYGEN” PROJECT HAVE SPROUTED UP

On May 5, over the inauguration event of the national tree-seeding campaign “Oxygen” at the Monument of Liberty, some well-known members of the public together with schoolchildren, representatives of AS “Latvijas valsts meži” and SEB Bank, sew the seeds of the first 1350 trees. We have a pleasure to announce that over the past two weeks they have sprouted!

Tomass Kotovičs, Head of Communication Division, LVM: “In the opening ceremony, together with Mammadaba Envoys Kristīne Garklāva, Vestards Šimkus, Evelīna Kovaļevska and others we sew the seeds of the first trees. Evidently the freshly sewn seeds were nurtured by the rain falling during the event and congenial energy emanating from the participants for seedlings have already appeared. This is the “little miracle” of Latvian trees hopefully shared by many schoolchildren and other participants of the campaign sowing the seeds for the future pine and spruce trees.”
