EXPERTS CARRY OUT REPUTATION ASSESSMENT OF LVM
Experts have placed AS “Latvijas valsts meži” on TOP of the list grading Latvian companies as to their environment-friendliness. The Reputation TOP candidates are assessed by a team of 35 experts including managers of companies, lecturers of higher educational institutions, and professionals of the industry. Initially a poll is carried out seeking opinion of 400 undertakings and 1000 inhabitants of Latvia. The methods for arriving at the TOP list of companies have been jointly elaborated by Nords Porter Novelli, Diena Daily Newspaper, Pohjoisranta Oy and Ph. D. Roberts Ķīlis, anthropologist. The poll was carried out by the sociology firm SKDS in spring of 2010. In addition to the overall TOP, the TOP listed by experts is carried out also which however does not influence the final outcome. All in all, AS “Latvijas valsts meži” this year has been ranked 38th which is three places higher than the last year. In the opinion of experts however AS “Latvijas valsts meži” should occupy the 13th place in the Reputation TOP list of Latvia’s companies.
