AS Latvijas valsts meži [Latvian State Forests] has issued a new richly illustrated magazine Mammadaba. At the Lakes demonstrating leisure opportunities at the lakesides managed by LSF and active recreation on bikeways of Latgale region. Providing practical information on places of interest, lakes, fish, crayfish and recreation opportunities in guesthouses, the magazine relates also local legends and tales, quotes recipes of local dishes and offers practical advice. The magazine is available free in all travel information centres, forest district offices and the most popular Mammadaba sites. The next Mammadaba Magazine will feature more lakes, recreation sites and nature’s bounties to be enjoyed in the forest over autumn months.
