„TO THE FOREST!” THE BOOK GOES TO THE TEACHERS

“Latvia’s State Forests” is donating to schools a new book “To the Forest! The Mother Nature ABC of Safe and Green Recreation in the Forest”. At the beginning of March the book will be sent via post to all teachers of nature sciences of Latvian elementary and primary schools, who are this year invited to participate in the Forest Olympic Games with a slogan “To the Forest!”. The new book will be of use both to the teacher and to the pupil – it is a captivating presentation of all those things anyone should know when going to the forest. It will help the teacher to present all those important issues that are connected to safety and behaviour in nature environment, which are included in the Standards of Primary Education. The map of recreation objects in the state forests is annexed to the book.
