“Latvijas Valsts Meži” Receive Award at the Tourism Exhibition "Balttour 2006"

Zemgale’s stand, which featured, among others, the popular recreational area of Tervete Country Park of the JSC "Latvijas Valsts Meži”, has received wide public acclaim at the International Tourism Exhibition "Balttour 2006".

Many exhibition visitors had not been to Tervete for several years and were genuinely surprised by how it had changed and how many new attractions, have appeared recently. During the three days, a park witch, a representative of the Tervete pine forest was  working at the stand,  explaining about the new attractions in the park and some of the cultural events that can be experienced in Tervete this year, and entertaining visitors with puzzles, folklore and what to see.

  Tervete Country Park received a diploma from the Latvian Tourism Agents’ Association for having the most attractive participant in the exhibition "Balttour 2006". When the new tourism season starts, the pine forest witch and other “live” fairy tale characters will greet visitors at Tervete Country Park every day.
