LVM Recreation and Tourist Centre Ezernieki Receives an International Tourism Award

The new year has begun with recognition for what has been done last year. LVM Recreation and Tourist Centre Ezernieki has received the “Traveller Review Award 2021”, which means that last year Ezernieki received mostly only excellent visitor ratings, obtaining a particularly high overall rating on the international accommodation booking website www.booking.com – 9.5.

“This award is very important for those working in the tourism industry, as it is a generally accepted and globally recognized quality mark, to which customers pay special attention when choosing their preferred accommodation. The received award and the high rating mean that Ezernieki is a good player in the industry,” says Dzintra Stradiņa, Manager of Ezernieki, shares her joy for receiving the award.

The key to the success of Ezernieki

There is no single answer to the question what makes Ezernieki so popular with many and makes them come back again and again. Rather, it is a set of many things in which everyone finds what is closest to them. Some will appreciate the comfortable and tidy infrastructure, the wide range of accommodation and leisure opportunities. At Ezernieki, it is possible to spend the night and relax either alone, with family, or in a wide circle of friends or even celebrate a wedding. The rooms can accommodate up to 90 guests, but in the spacious and landscaped area you can also spend the night in a tent or in the caravan park, if holidaymakers are travelling with the whole house.

Others are inspired by the proximity of the beautiful nature. Some of the rooms open onto Lake Salas, surrounded by a beautiful forest. Holidaymakers can swim, go on a boat trip or admire sunset on a board or pedal boat, which can also be rented there. In the forest, you can treat yourself with forest bounties or a morning jog, enjoying inspiring und uplifting bird songs. There is also a number of different opportunities for sports activities in the area: volleyball, football and streetball courts. And no, it is not that all the beautiful things happen here only in summer. In winter, the lake turns into a place where the brave can jump into an ice-hole, but in the woods, the footprints left by animals and the nearby cross-country ski trails lure visitors to take a healthy walk or workout.

Staff also have a special role to play. It is the staff who make every guest feel so welcome here. Many of the guests return to Ezernieki again and again. Families spend their holidays here again and again from year to year, whereas the newlyweds return to celebrate their wedding anniversary already in a different status together with their children.

Ezernieki can be proud of another very important quality certificate – the Green Certificate – which was awarded to the recreation centre already back in 2011 and, following the criteria set by almost ninety experts, is successfully renewed and extended every three years. Strict criteria relate, for example, to waste sorting, environmentally friendly waste water disposal, the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products, the accessibility of the environment for people with reduced mobility and many other essential elements.
