LVM Zemes dzīles Laboratory has been Re-accredited for a Period of Five Years

This July, after the re-accreditation visit of the State Agency “Latvian National Accreditation Bureau” (Latvijas Nacionālais akreditācijas birojs; LATAK), LVM Zemes dzīles laboratory was granted accreditation for the next five years, including in the flexible sphere. Therefore, the LVM Zemes dzīles laboratory can independently update the testing methods within the framework of flexibility in the future without an additional LATAK evaluation visit.

“If a new or updated standard of a testing method is issued, the LVM Zemes dzīles laboratory can respond promptly and independently: evaluate changes, take corrective actions, introduce changes in daily testing and issue results with a reference to accreditation. Customers of LVM Zemes dzīles mineral materials and their products can be sure that the products are tested in our laboratory according to the most current version of the standards,” says Gita Kārkle, Head of the LVM Zemes dzīles laboratory.

Moreover, in June 2022, with LATAK becoming a full-pledge member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), the results issued by the LVM Zemes dzīles laboratory will be recognized in other ILAC member states, which opens the market for products tested in the accredited LVM Zemes dzīles laboratory not only outside of Latvia and European borders, but also in part of the global market, increasing competitiveness and international recognition. From now on, the ILAC MRA marking will appear on the LVM Zemes dzīles laboratory test reports.

In 2018, JSC “Latvia's State Forests” established the LVM Zemes dzīles mineral materials testing and research laboratory, which plays a crucial role in product quality traceability. Its accreditation has been voluntary since its beginnings, with the aim of providing proof of competence to provide our clients with safety and reliability of results.
